    For twenty years Bogart Engineering have made battery monitors that give you insight into your system. If you depend on batteries for power, their monitors show how full your batteries are, if charging sources are still charging like they used to, how fast your loads are drawing power, and to check whether your batteries are still storing energy as they should. Without an accurate monitor, you may be unaware of a problem until you run out of power.

    Battery Monitor Series

    The TM-2030-A AND TM-2030-RV operate the same, and are operationally very similar to the previous TM-2025. The  difference between the "A" and "RV" version is only the size and label color. The TM-2030-RV inludes the enclosure shown. The TM-2030-A mounts in a double gang electical box not included. At some point we are expecting to offer only the TM-2030 models. Older ones will be supported however.

    The Trimetric TM 2030 is intended to help maintain battery systems for 12V to 48V deep cycle batteries, such as ones found in RVs or off grid homes, which are regularly charged and discharged. It measures the rate of energy going in or out of your batteries so you can check your charging systems and see how much energy each of your appliances use. This is a big help when you're trying to conserve energy.

    The Trimetric will help you keep track of how charged or discharged your batteries are. It will let you discover if your charging systems are charging to the proper voltage, which is important for maximizing your battery life. The monitor will also tell you the number of days since the main battery system was fully charged, so if it hasn't been charged recently you can perform extra charging if necessary to help maintain the capacity of your batteries.

    The TM-2030 also can measure the voltage only of a second battery set, such as the starting battery, or solar voltage input to a charge controller.

    The TM-2030-A does not come with its own enclosure and is designed to be surface mounted to a wall.

    The main difference between this model and the older TM-2025 is that the TM-2030 is capable of working in tandem with the new Bogart Engineering SC-2030 PWM solar charge controller. When the two units are used together, it increases the performance of the charge controller and can adjust the output to a level that is better suited to your batteries current state of charge.

  • The Bogart Trimetric TM-2030 battery system monitor is the most popular choice for monitoring battery ststems for off-grid homes, caravans, RV’s or boats. Simple data logging focuses on identifying system problems.

    The Trimetric TM-2030 has the following functions:

    • Easy to read display--easy to darken
    • Battery % full, based on amp hour measurements for accurate information on how much battery energy is left. This method is more accurate than monitors that use only voltage to determine how full your batteries are—especially when they are between 30-90% full.
    • Battery charging or discharging amps—or watts; To check that chargers are still charging at proper amounts—also to check to see how much your loads are drawing—and to discover phantom 24 hour loads that you may not know about.
    • Battery volts (9.0 to 75): to verify that chargers are charging to correct voltage for your batteries.
    • Audible low battery alarm, based on volts and % full. May be silenced.
    • Days since charged: Shows how many days have elapsed since batteries were last fully charged. Batteries can lose ability to hold charge if this becomes too long.
    • Days since equalized: A reminder to equalize at appropriate time if you do manual equalizations.
    • Replaced percentage of charge, compared to most recent discharge--Many battery company experts are now recommending that when recharging, 110-115% of recently withdrawn energy be replaced for wet cell Lead acid batteries—and 104-108% for AGM types. This new function makes it easy to know.
    • Good lightning protection.
    • Logged data functions: You may not need this, but a technician trying to diagnose what is wrong will find these very helpful.
    The recommended fuse holder and 1 Amp fuse are now included.

     The SH-500-50 Shunt is included with Trimetric TM-2030-A battery system monitor, details are as follows:
